Ideal conditions for the ORA® Aquacultured Rosaria Acropora Coral is an established reef aquarium with moderate to high lighting conditions achieved by T-5 fluorescent, powerful LED, or the more intense metal halide light fixtures. For best care, it is imperative to maintain high water quality for the ORA® Aquacultured Rosaria Acropora Coral ensuring proper pH, alkalinity, and calcium levels while keeping phosphate and nitrate levels as close to zero as possible. Along with proper lighting and water quality, the ORA® Aquacultured Rosaria Acropora Coral will benefit from medium to strong, intermittent water flow within the aquarium. This can be easily achieved with the addition of powerheads, wavemakers, or water circulation pumps.
Under ideal conditions, the growth rate of Acropora corals is much more rapid than most other corals found in an established reef aquarium. The ORA® Aquacultured Rosaria Acropora Coral can be cultured and grown into a new colony from living fragments or broken pieces by the experienced reef hobbyists.
The ORA® Aquacultured Rosaria Acropora Coral satisfies the majority of its nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within its body. However, it will appreciate supplemental feedings of various types of phytoplankton and zooplankton offered twice per week. For continued good health, the ORA® Aquacultured Rosaria Acropora Coral requires the addition of calcium, strontium, iodine, magnesium supplements, as well as trace elements.
The ORA® Aquacultured Rosaria Acropora Coral is attached to a plastic plug and can be easily placed in holes or between the rockwork of the reef aquarium.
