Overview

The Green Leptoseris Coral is a striking small polyp stony (SPS) coral known for its vivid green coloration and unique growth patterns. Offered as a LiveAquaria® Certified Captive Grown Coral (CCGC) Frag, this sustainably aquacultured coral is a standout addition to reef aquariums.

Originating from the reef slopes of the Indo-Pacific, the Green Leptoseris typically grows in an encrusting or tiered formation. While compact in size, its short tentacles can deliver a sting to neighboring corals and invertebrates, so be sure to allow ample space.

SPS corals are generally more challenging to care for than LPS corals, but once established, the Green Leptoseris is relatively hardy. It thrives under moderate lighting and benefits from strong, variable water movement. For optimal health, maintain stable levels of calcium, strontium, and trace elements.

Feeding at night with micro-plankton or baby brine shrimp—when tentacles are extended—can support growth and coloration.
