Controllable DC solenoid valve specially engineered to connect to any HYDROS Drive Port. The HYDROS DC Solenoid Water Valve is a HYDROS Drive Port accessory that provides easy ON/OFF water flow control for your Reverse Osmosis (RO) or Reverse Osmosis/Deionization (RO/DI) unit. Once properly integrated to your HYDROS Control aquarium controller platform, the HYDROS DC Solenoid Water Valve is powered and controlled by your HYDROS Control aquarium controller. By downloading the FREE HYDROS app, you can control any HYDROS-connected device with your Internet-enabled computer, smartphone, or tablet!
The HYDROS DC Solenoid Water Valve works in conjunction with your HYDROS Control aquarium controller and an optical or mechanical water level sensor. When the sensor detects the water level is low, it opens the HYDROS DC Solenoid Water Valve, allowing fresh RO or RO/DI water to flow through and top off your aquarium or sump. When the water level sensor senses that the water level is replenished, it will "tell" your HYDROS Control aquarium controller to shut off power to the solenoid. This closes the valve and stops the flow of reverse osmosis water. The HYDROS DC Solenoid Water Valve should be connected to the product line coming off your reverse osmosis system. 1/4" push-connect fittings allow quick and easy connection to standard RO tubing.
HYDROS DC Solenoid Water Valve Application Example
Instead of using the HYDROS DC Micro Pump as your ATO pump, you can use the HYDROS DC Solenoid Valve instead. Just plug it into a Drive Port on the HYDROS Control aquarium controller for power then control and configure using the HYDROS app. It is recommended to install an auto-shutoff valve and check valve on your reverse osmosis system to prevent it from producing wastewater when the solenoid is closed.
