A brooding rust-red coloration provides the perfect backdrop, allowing the sunflower-yellow coloration of the "eyes" to pop much like fireworks in the evening sky. Propagated here at our Coral Farm & Aquatic Life Facility in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, our LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Fireworks Leptoseris Coral offers reef aquarium hobbyists a truly noteworthy new addition for their reef aquarium. Once established, the LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Fireworks Leptoseris Coral will provide a fantastic living tapestry of color and texture ideal for softening the rough edges of rockwork or filling empty reef aquarium bottoms.

The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Fireworks Leptoseris Coral can thrive under moderate lighting conditions achieved by T-5 fluorescent, powerful LED, or the more intense metal halide light fixtures. For best care, it is imperative to maintain high water quality for the LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Fireworks Leptoseris Coral ensuring proper pH, alkalinity, and calcium levels while keeping phosphate and nitrate levels as close to zero as possible. Along with proper lighting and water quality, the LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Fireworks Leptoseris Coral will benefit from medium, intermittent water flow within the aquarium. This can be easily achieved with the addition of powerheads, wavemakers, or water circulation pumps.

The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Fireworks Leptoseris Coral has a semi-aggressive temperament and will expand its sweeper tentacles at night. Therefore, it is important to leave space between the LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Fireworks Leptoseris Coral and neighboring corals in your reef aquarium. For continued good health, the LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Fireworks Leptoseris Coral will benefit from the addition of calcium, magnesium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water.

The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Fireworks Leptoseris Coral satisfies the majority of its nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within its body. However, it will benefit from supplemental feedings of meaty food items such as micro-plankton or baby brine shrimp offered twice per week in the evening while its tentacles are visible.

The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Fireworks Leptoseris Coral is mounted on a fired ceramic plug that can be placed easily and securely in or between the rockwork in the reef aquarium.
