Overview
The male Exquisite Fairy Wrasse, is green with bright red markings. Its bright red markings may vary depending on the location from which it was collected. It may also have blues, oranges, yellows, and purples decorating the body, depending on its mood. The females generally do not have quite as bold markings as the males.
A 90 gallon or larger aquarium, either fish-only or reef, with a shaded area is recommended. The Exquisite Wrasse will not pick on corals or invertebrates, making them an ideal fish for the reef aquarium. These wrasses do like to jump, so a tight fitting canopy is necessary.
The Exquisite Fairy Wrasse diet should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods along with a high quality marine flake and marine pellet food.

The exquisite fairy wrasse is an amazing fish with alot of personality and energy! I've owned a large one from Maldives for a few months now and it has been a pleasure to watch it swim around. He has a big appetite and is always begging me to feed him by dancing around the front of the tank everytime I walk by! He always has warmed up to me enough to let me caress him as he swims close to hands! Great hardy fish that is an awesome addition to my 150 gallon reef!

Three young fish arrived (have a white spot on nose)for my 200 gallon reef. One turned out to be a bully and killed the other two by not allowing them to eat. Got rid of him and got a new young pair, at first there was a little "war" but now they are like the odd couple, bickering but always together. Nice interesting fish - reef safe.
