We have had our fuzzy dwarf for about 6 months now. We did have to start him out on ghost shrimp and guppies, but now he eats anything. He will even eat Formula Two! He is eating so well now that his color is absolutely stunning! They respond to their owners well and even spit water at you at feeding time. Just make darn sure you know where they are at ALL TIMES if you have to stick your hand in the tank. When they get well accustomed to you, they will hang out at the top of the tank.

The dwarf is smaller and slower than the Volitan, but he's smarter. Mine figured out where the food came from within a day. He has never gotten confused by reflections on the inside glass, which happens with my Volitan all the time. You can keep several at a time, though feeding time gets chaotic if you do. Watching one of these guys drifting over tank decorations as it explores is fantastic.

This fish will soon become your favorite. It's personality will win you over after its acclimation time.

I love this fish. He is my favorite, smart, and fun. Also loves to eat. He is kinda like a dog when he knows you are about to feed him. He goes crazy like a dog, wagging his tail and waiting, I named mine Leo and L2 or Leo Jr. Get one, trust me.

I have a dwarf in my reef tank with 2 coral banded shrimp and they were added yesterday after my old one died after 8 years. He lived happy with the other one for 4 and is now loving the new 2. Perfect little guy even eats nori... what an awesome fish.

These are very lazy fish. They like to rest most of the day and enjoy live food. They are easy to wean onto frozen if you use a feeder stick.

I purchased my Fuzzy Dwarf about three weeks ago. To my surprise, I was sent the yellow color variety. He hid for about three days and I did not bother to attempt to feed him. About the fourth day I got some ghost shrimp and he ate them will. I waited about three more days and tried some frozen silversides and frozen shrimp. He refused them. Next day I got a few roseys and he ate them. Three more days and I tried the frozen and he ate them with gusto. Even ate squid! He is a gorgeous fish. Has quickly become my favorite. Very easy to wean from live, but not as easy as my V. Lion was.

Ordered mine from here during a winter storm this year and he came in warm and healthy. I was very pleased with his condition and appetite. I had him eating frozen mysis within a couple weeks and he became very friendly. Definitely my favorite fish!

I bought one of these in early July and it disappeared immediately, never to be seen again. Until yesterday, 4 months later. He's alive and healthy but only comes out in the dark. I hope he's finished "acclimating" soon. Or maybe I just got a timid one. We were very happy to see him and now have to order some live feeders asap.
