Overview
The Zebra Catalina Goby, also known as the Manybanded Goby, has a red body with many narrow vertical blue stripes running the length of the body. These fish are not available as often as their relative the Catalina Goby, but the Zebra Catalina will make a great addition to the smaller saltwater or reef aquarium.
Very striking when kept in small schools, the small Zebra Catalina Gobies will dart in and out of the rockwork and perch on their favorite lookout in the reef aquarium. It is not usually an aggressive fish, but may quarrel with conspecifics if housed together in a small tank. An aquarium of 30 gallons or larger is usually suitable.
The Catalina Goby is a temperate species that prefers cooler water temperatures between 68 and 75 degrees.
In the wild, the Zebra Catalina Goby eats small pieces of fish and plant material. In the aquarium, it will consume almost any prepared foods for carnivores, mysis shrimp, table shrimp, and vitamin-enriched brine shrimp. It should be fed twice per day.
Approximate Purchase Size: 3/4" to 1"
