The Tongan Soft Coral Pack is an assortment of carefully selected hardy soft corals ideally suited for the beginner to the advanced reef aquarist. These corals offer a diversity of color and make the perfect addition as one of the first groups of corals added to a cycled reef aquarium.

The soft corals in this pack are photosynthetic, and contain symbiotic algae zooxanthellae hosted within their bodies which will provide the corals with the majority of their nutritional requirements. These corals do not require supplemental feeding in the reef aquarium that contains fishes and invertebrates. In reef aquariums that do not contain fishes and thus are not fed, it is ideal to offer the soft corals weekly feedings of micro-plankton and other foods designed for filter-feeding invertebrates.

Each of the three corals offered in this package are highly adaptable, and will thrive under a variety of lighting systems, which include VHO fluorescent bulbs, T5's, compact fluorescents, or even lower-wattage metal halides. Water flow is an important criteria to ensure these soft corals thrive in the home aquarium. They will benefit from moderate to strong indirect water flow, through the use of supplemental water movement devices such as powerheads or additional pumps.
