Overview

The ORA® Captive-Bred Sunrise Dottyback, also known as the Sunrise Pseudochromis or Blue Flavivertex Dottyback, is primarily blue with yellow highlights at the fins and eyes. Sunrise Dottybacks are another brightly colored basslet found in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. ORAs broodstock originated from Egyptian waters and produce the bluest Sunrise Dottybacks available in the industry. A very curious fish with a distinctive personality, these hardy fish will provide years of enjoyment for the novice or seasoned saltwater enthusiast.

A 30 gallon or larger aquarium with numerous hiding places provides a good environment. It will prey on pests such as small mantis shrimp, and bristleworms, making this fish ideal for the reef aquarium. If more than one Pseudochromis will be maintained together in the same tank, it is important to add them at the same time.

The ORA Captive-Bred Sunrise Dottyback should be fed a varied diet consisting of foods specifically designed for carnivores. If kept in a reef aquarium, the ORA Captive-Bred Sunrise Dottyback should be fed once per day.
